Samar Iftikhar Blog Post (excerpt from final paper)

According to Statistic Brain, 74 million people use Skype. Its main goal is found on its homepage, which helps individuals, “stay in touch with family and friends for free.” Usually, people use Skype to connect with each other when they live far apart from one another. However, this can reduce the desire to see one’s loved one in person by using a webcam as a substitute. The video image of a person on a screen does not represent what the person’s true image is at all. Take into account the number of times a Skype call fails or buffers and when the video is too pixelated to even see the other person.
