Another Cinderella Story
Once
upon a time there was a young girl named Delilah. Delilah was in the process of
deciding what college she would commit to. Her top options were The University
of Arizona, Arizona State University, and Northern Arizona University. She was local
to Arizona having been born in Scottsdale Arizona. Her father owned the Westin
in Downtown Phoenix so she was highly acclimated with Arizona and its accompaniment.
Delilah was an only child and was what
could be considered a Daddy’s girl. She was not prissy like most Daddy’s girls,
but rather just loved her father with all her heart and wanted nothing more
than to make him happy. This is why she chose to stay close to her father and
stay in Arizona for college. She knew she could not be far from her father even
as independent a young woman she had become. Though the decision on which
Arizona University became ever more indecisive as someone new entered her life.
Delilah and her
father were living a great life amongst each other when her father decided to
fall in love with Krewella Anderson. Krewella owned the Scottsdale Princess and
had two ungodly daughters name Sierra and Serena. Krewella had so much money
and only lusted for more. This lust carried over into her lust for Delilah’s
father as multiple ownerships of hotels could be gained through the marriage. Most
people knew she was a gold digger, yet Delilah’s father could not see past her
beauty. Yet if he could he would be able to foreshadow the events that would
occur shortly thereafter.
Unfortunately, the
two were married and ultimately in the honeymoon stage. The two families
conjoined and bought a beautiful house in a gated community in Scottsdale,
Arizona. Delilah, attempting to make peace with her father’s decision, did her
best to be friends with her two new stepsisters. She gave them the bigger rooms
with walk in closets and even bought them new Lululemon pants to welcome them
into their new home together. The stepsisters were not thankful. They thought
it necessary to give Delilah the room meant for the maid’s quarters because
Delilah’s room of choice was “necessary to be a guest room so that their guests
would feel more at home”. Delilah tried
to be grateful for the room she was given. Yet being that it was the maid’s
quarters, the finishings were undone and the bathroom not remodeled. Still, she
attempted to be courteous to her new family.
On the first night
of their first stay, Delilah labored for hours in the kitchen preparing a
homely meal. Besides her father, there were complaints among them. Yet it
became ritual that Delilah cook meals for them daily and do all chores for the
house. Her stay in the maid’s quarters began to take a role in her life. The
father still unresponsive to the treatment of his daughter ignored what was
happening because he was oblivious to it all.
As time went on,
Delilah began to count down the days until college. She had finally committed to
the University of Arizona. She chose the University of Arizona because it had
high percentage of Greek life affiliation. She longed to rush a sorority and
find a house that fit her perfectly. It was her only hope to find a house where
she could finally have the sisters she always wanted. Sierra and Serena were
nothing of sisters that she had hoped for.
